Our purpose is to make a difference in this

being contributed to our ministry... Guate
MaicA Difference.
We may be small but with God, we can do great things.
Here is our Story.... 
'Guate MaicA Difference' began in
August, 2011 as a ministry designed to help the
women in the community
of Magdalena Milpas Altas, Guatemala, learn about God
and his love for
them while developing skills and a means to help support their family. The ladies gather on a weekly basis, along with our missionary partner,
Holly Steed, to learn the truth of God's Word and discuss what God is teaching
them as they read through a devotional 'Jesus Calling' and refine their skills
as they continue to loom knit scarves. The
scarves are sent to me and are
available for purchase with 100% of the
proceeds being returned to the ministry
to help provide an income for
the women and to purchase supplies.
This ministry has been a prayer of mine for the past years 8 of serving in
the mission field. With a desire to help I keep asking God 'How can
I make a difference?' Now
God has changed my questions of 'How' to
'Got to' by teaching me that
sometimes we need to stop asking and waiting
for something to happen and
put faith into action by fulfilling the desires
He has placed in our hearts.
A similar ministry is going to be
implemented within the next few months in
Barrett Hall, Jamaica, a
community on the outskirts of Montego Bay,
Jamaica. Since the two ministries are part of His plan, we changed
the name from 'Got to make a difference' to 'Guate MaicA Difference'.
It
is our prayer for God to pour his abundant blessings on the people
of
these poverty filled lands and that all will serve The One True God!
